If you like challenges, you will find many opportunities to practice extreme sports in Carinthia.
Put your skills to the test with white-water rafting or canyoning in the Möll River, or ride the nearby funicular railway. Or, enjoy a bird’s eye view of the richly varied Alpine scenery paragliding off the slopes of Gerlitzen. If it takes more to get your adrenalin going, there’s always bunging jumping off the edge of the Maltatal dam (165 m) or from the Jaunalbrücke (96 m), Europe’s highest railway bridge. And don’t forget that winter sports are available year-round in Carinthia: you can ski in the middle of summer on the Mölltal Glacier.
