Spending time at our wellnesshotel is not just relaxation – it's a place for physical and mental recharging, indeed. Our Carinthian spa combines the magic of water, active movement and deep relaxation in a harmonious environment.

In our large swimming pool, a pleasant water temperature of 27-28 °C provides the perfect conditions for dynamic laps and a relaxed body. The depth of 127 cm allows everyone to find the experience that suits them best. Our sitting pool with its 34 °C water (40-60 cm deep) will help you regenerate, while relaxed muscles will surely fill you with new energy.

Garden & Nature

In the immediate vicinity of the pools, in the shadow of trees our carefully tended garden is ready to reveal its splendour – a real island of tranquility, where the proximity of nature makes every moment special. Flowering plants, canopy trees and comfortable sun loungers invite you to relax after swimming, read or simply enjoy the fresh mountain air. There are especially many birch trees in our garden – they not only provide pleasant shade, but also symbolically connect us with nature, referring to the name of our hotel: Birkenhof, which means "birch courtyard". At an altitude of more than 1,000 meters above sea level, in allergen-free air, relaxation is even more intense, and a feeling of ease filters through the body and soul almost immediately.

The enjoyment of water is made complete with the sauna section in the wellness area of our hotel in Birkenhof: the Finnish sauna, the steam cabin and the infrared sauna provide for your deep physical and mental regeneration. For a flawless bathing experience, we ask our guests to shower before use, not to enter the barefoot zone in street shoes, and to respect the peace of others. Dogs are not allowed in the spa.
