Accessibility – Website Compliance with the BaFG

We strive to make our website accessible in accordance with the Accessibility Act (BaFG) as amended, which implements the European Accessibility Directive (Directive 2019/882) on accessibility requirements for products and services. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.2 – have been followed as closely as possible.

Further Information on Contract Conclusion

(Description of our services, explanation of how our services are carried out):

  • At the hotel: The Birkenhof is a family-run 4-star hotel in Bad Kleinkirchheim with a manageable size and personal service. Due to the structural characteristics of the traditional building, accessibility is limited in certain areas. Rooms and public areas are partially accessible without steps, but a fully wheelchair-accessible standard (e.g., barrier-free bathrooms or elevators to all levels) is not available. For specific mobility needs, we are happy to provide individual information about the available options.
  • Website: : The Birkenhof Hotel website is built according to current technical standards. It is optimized for use on various devices and follows the principles of accessible web design (e.g., clear structure, sufficient contrast, responsive layout). If you encounter any limitations while using the site, we welcome your feedback so we can continue improving accessibility

The evaluation was conducted according to WCAG 2.2.

The assessment of the website’s compliance with the BaFG was carried out as a selftest based on WCAG 2.2. We continuously improve our website, and usability and accessibility are very important to us. If you encounter any barriers on our website that hinder or restrict your use, please let us know at the following email address: info@otp-birkenhof.at.
